Bank Bus Service

For almost 10 years now, we’ve run a monthly bank bus to Brecon; this is grant funded to allow our members to travel free of charge, as there are no banks in Hay. However, with the closure of more banks in Brecon and a drop in passenger numbers, we feel it is important to offer an alternative that may be more useful. From October, we will be alternating the Bank Bus between Brecon, Abergavenny (October) and Builth (November). Abergavenny and Builth offer other choices of banks and shops, and we hope this change will give you more flexibility and make the trip more worthwhile. The service will remain free to our members to the end of March 2026. We’ll publish the dates for all destinations in our next newsletter, and you can continue to book your seat in the usual way.
