Sources of Income

We are supported in three main ways:

• Government bodies

• Charities and businesses

• Self generated income which includes membership subscriptions, fares and local fundraising

Since Dial-a-Ride began operating over 27 years ago, we have been most fortunate to receive a consistent and steady income from a range of local and even national bodies.

Typically, Powys County Council, with the Teaching Health Board and Herefordshire Council have been our most consistent supports via service level agreements. We also greatly appreciate support from our local community and parish councils. In total, these have provided about a third of our income.

A number of private charitable organisations and businesses, many of them local to Hay-on-Wye, have supported us with a significant part of our average income.

Membership subscriptions and fares along with our local fundraising programme top up the rest of the income.
